Facility and Program Changes in Response to New COVID-19 Restrictions

  • In response to new provincial restrictions and recommendations from Region of Peel’s Medical Officer of Health, some of the City of Mississauga’s programs will be adjusted to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
  • The following changes are in effect for some City facilities and programs:

Suspended until November 7

  • registered and drop-in indoor fitness and dance classes
  • all weight room and fitness centre use
  • registered and drop-in team sport programming such as basketball, soccer and shinny
  • adult and youth soccer leagues

 Running with new limited capacities

  • registered and drop-in programs for non-team sports such as badminton and pickleball
  • registered and drop-in aquatics programs
  • registered arts and learning programs

Running with existing public health safety measures in place

  • public swimming including lane, leisure and fun swims
  • public skating including fun skates

 In addition, the following restrictions are in place for rental permits:

  • No scrimmage or game play (indoors and outdoors)
  • Meeting room rentals limited to groups of 10
  • Theatres continue to be closed (Living Arts Centre theatre and Meadowvale Theatre)
